I’ve Been Off Social Media For 10 Days So Far

Last week I told my email list that I left social media and I wouldn't be back for at least 100 days.

In 10 days, I've already noticed a softening of my nervous system. I'm starting to sense that the little bit of energy social media got from me is coming back to my own body.

For the first couple of days I asked my partner to let me look at my final post on their phone to see how many people had liked it and what comments folks left.

I felt a bit embarrassed about this impulse, but then I remembered: that's pretty related to why I left. The desire to check for engagement is exactly what I'm interested in unhooking from and it's a process to unhook from it!

And also, I appreciated every comment.

LOTS of you replied to my email, letting me know you've tried an experiment like this too, or you're planning on it. I love hearing about your experiences.

In terms of my business, I'm still feeling good about focusing on this email newsletter, my podcast, and collaborations with others. I'm not feeling tempted to return to social media.

My healing practice is going beautifully. I'm geeking out and honored to be using Brainspotting and parts work with folks.
