No More Social Media For At Least 100 Days
I'm sharing my LAST post on social media, at least for the next 100 days.
My final post photo
Here it is, just as I shared it on IG today:

I’m leaving social media for at least 100 days and I don’t know if I’ll be back.
If you want to stay in my orbit, I hope you do! The link in my bio still works for now to tell you where to find me. My podcast and my newsletter have always been my best content.
Like everything I do in my business, leaving social media is an experiment.
Here are my reasons for running this experiment right now:
1. This is the biggest reason: I notice that engaging here seems to have an overall negative impact on my nervous system, spirit and attention span.
This reminds me of when I started an experiment to stop drinking alcohol back in 2019. Drinking wasn’t ruining my life, but I sensed that the negatives were outweighing the benefits. I still haven’t had a drink since then. (I feel more awkward at parties, but I also feel more of my feelings overall. I’ll take that trade off.)
The other things I do to market my work do not screw with my nervous system. These things include creating my podcast, guesting on podcasts, running free live events, talking to my colleagues, and writing my newsletter.
2. There are other ways for me to find the creators I’m looking for. I am subscribed to newsletters and listening to podcasts and reading books. Through those creators and through my friends I continue to find more.
3. I’ve never thrown myself in here consistently enough to get much business ROI. And I just don’t want to, because….see #1.
Only a tiny percentage of my clients (3.8%) found me on social media.
4. Screw this billionaire and screw these algorithms. “The algorithm is not a god and you shouldn’t treat it like one because the real gods can see that.” -Clementine Morrigan
5. My friends and colleagues who have left social media are doing great!
Before I go, I want to be very clear that I don’t have an opinion about whether you stay on social media or not.
